SALOU WINTER FESTIVAL (JANUARY / FEBRUARY)

Salouenses celebrate their own carnival weeks before it is due to take place during the Salou Winter Festival. The last week of January begins this festival, with endless activities for all ages and audiences, with which you will have a great time.

The culminating moment of the festivities takes place on the first Saturday in February, around 6:00 p.m., during the great confetti festival: the Coso Blanco. For 3 hours and along a route of 500 meters, the cannons arranged by the City Council, shoot around 25 tons of confetti combined with a light and sound show. An impressive show that will not leave you indifferent.

SABOR SALOU FAIR (MARCH OR APRIL)

It is a gastronomic event in Salou that takes place every year during a weekend, between the end of March and the beginning of April.

On the Paseo Marítimo (next to the Nautical Club), the restaurateurs of the area exhibit on their stands tastings of their best products for the enjoyment of visitors. Different activities related to gastronomy are also organized, such as cooking workshops or cocktails.

THE TAPAS ROUTE THROUGH SALOU GASTROTOUR (MAY)

Gastrotour is another of Salou's gastronomic encounters. It usually develops throughout the month of May. It is a gastronomic route through which the public can go tasting small tapas specially prepared for the occasion, in each of the establishments (restaurants, bars, cafeterias and ice cream parlors) adhering to the initiative. CHALLENGE SALOU (MAY)

Among the sporting events in Salou we find Challenge Salou. An annual event dedicated to triathlon. It consists of different tests, adapted to the different levels and categories of the participants: the Half Challenge, the star of the competition (medium distance triathlon), Short Challenge (short distance triathlon); Aqua Challenge (a swimming test in the open sea); Junior Challenge (race for children up to 14 years old) and the Breakfast Run, a solidarity race of 4km, which takes place in a festive atmosphere, for all ages and audiences.

THE “NITS DAURADES” OF SALOU (AUGUST)

Salou celebrates its Summer Festival during the month of August. The city council organizes, during the 10 days that the festivities last, an endless number of activities, acts, shows, folkloric encounters and concerts, the vast majority of which take place on the Jaime I seafront. ”Culminates on August 15 with a spectacular fireworks display on Salou's main beach: Levante beach.

KING JAUME FAIR, SALOU MEDIEVAL FAIR (SEPTEMBER)

Salou commemorates every year with a medieval fair the conquest of Mallorca achieved in 1229 at the hands of King Jaime I. And it is that the King's troops left on September 5 for Mallorca from the beaches and the coast of Salou.

During the 5 days that the King Jaime Fair lasts, an authentic medieval market is organized in the pedestrian streets of the old town, enlivened with different performances and activities in pure medieval style. In addition, to the delight of visitors, the restaurants in the old town also offer a menu inspired by the local culinary recipes of the time.

RALLY RACC CATALUNYA (OCTOBER)

The RACC Catalunya - Costa Daurada Rally is perhaps the most anticipated sporting event in the area. Held each year in October, it is part of the FIA World Rally Championship. The RACC Rally has its enclave in Salou and is located between the PortAventura theme park, where the service park, village, press room and race office are located, and the Paseo Marítimo that houses the Podium and a multitude of activities focused on the world the motor.

SQUID GASTRONOMIC DAYS (NOVEMBER AND DECEMBER)

During the last week of November, Salou celebrates its now traditional Squid Festival with a squid fishing contest. This Squid Festival is expanded with the organization of the Squid Gastronomic Days at the hands of restaurateurs from Salo who offer succulent menus with squid as the protagonist. CHRISTMAS AND END OF THE YEAR IN PORTAVENTURA (DECEMBER)
